Bone 3D operates the 3Dcovid platform of APHP - May 2020
This platform was born from the project 3dcovid in partnership with AP-HP, the University of Paris and with the support of the Kering Group.
CONCEIVE – VALIDATE – MANUFACTURE – DISTRIBUTE – COMBAT THE VIRUS
The watchword is given: listening and efficiency are at the forefront.
For the past few weeks, the exponential increase in demand simultaneously worldwide for the same medical devices, coupled with the shutdown or decrease in production of manufacturing plants in areas affected by the pandemic, are putting supply chains under stress like never before. This exposes French healthcare institutions to a shortage of devices essential to care activity as part of the fight against Covid-19. In addition this health crisis brings to light new needs linked to the daily deepened knowledge of the virus and its spread.
Many French manufacturers are putting their production capacity at the service of the fight against Covid-19 for the manufacture of complex equipment essential to patient care (respirators, resuscitation beds, syringe pump motors…). And hospitals need to regain responsiveness and agility in the supply of simple but critical devices.
In just 10 days, the Covid3D platform was set up within the Cochin Hospital to meet the needs of AP-HP hospitals, and in a maximum reduced time.
A nationwide project to combat the coronavirus epidemic.
