Developed with La Maison des Femmes in Saint-Denis, they include a generic anatomy and three representations of female genital mutilation, with a removable clitoris to show the position of the structures.

Four anatomies to support explanation

The range includes a generic vulvar model with a clitoris and three models representing types 1, 2 and 3 female genital mutilation. They help healthcare professionals explain anatomy and open discussions about sexual and health issues.

Anatomy that can be handled

Each model is supplied with a removable clitoris: intact for the generic model and excised for the others. The insert fits into the vulva to show the position of the anatomical structures.

Materials and colours

The vulvas are made from silicone using 3D-printed moulds and are available in translucent white, flesh tone or brown. The clitorises are resin-printed and available in pink or flesh tone.

An anatomical model for observation and explanation

The current range is for observing, explaining and handling anatomy. It is not designed for practising incisions, suturing or reconstructive surgery. The GENITO-Train name is reserved for the future surgical simulator, which is separate from these teaching models.
