The BUCCO-Train range of simulators for your oral surgery training

BUCCO-train is a line of simulators designed in partnership with practitioners based on anatomical models routinely used by practitioners for oral surgical procedures.

The BUCCO-Train simulators are comprehensive and can represent the full range of anatomical elements essential for the successful training of new surgeons:

  • Bone (mandibular or maxillary) Trabecular and cortical part
  • Gum
  • Nerve (possibility of having a hard or soft nerve, depending on your needs)
  • Teeth – Choice of teeth (possibility of extractable teeth)
  • Artery

Oral surgery simulators tailored to your needs

The diversity of our BUCCO-Train simulators will allow you to perform many procedures essential to the training of future maxillofacial surgeons, stomatologists and dental surgeons.

You will be able to perform incisions, gum removal and suturing, root canals, dental extractions, implant placement, bone grafts, osteotomies, sinus lift, etc.

Available standard models and associated feasible acts:

  1. Implantology

3 designs to choose from:

  • Mandible without ramus for implant placement in 36, 37
  • Reusable mandibular holder with single-use refill for implant placement in 36, 37
  • Maxilla alone for implant placement in 22

Frequently asked questions

How is BUCCO-Train developed?

Our surgical simulators are based on 3D printing in multi-material which allows to represent hard and soft tissues while keeping their characteristics.

Other manufacturing processes (molding, injection, painting…) would not have allowed to keep an anatomical realism as close to the real one.

During the development phase, 3D printing allowed for rapid iteration and accelerated model development time, at reasonable costs.

Finally, 3D printing allowed the creation of a scalable model: it is possible to vary certain parameters in order to adapt the model to training needs.

Only 3D printing can produce devices almost on demand at affordable costs and in small series, which is the case for the BUCCO-Train simulators.

Why use 3D printed surgical simulators?

3D printed surgical simulators are educational tools for surgeon training. They allow training in all stages of complex surgeries as many times as necessary.

We reproduce parts of the anatomy, with or without pathology, using different materials allowing us to represent both hard and soft tissues, to make the simulation experience realistic in terms of sensation.

We offer an ethical alternative to cadavers and animals. Our simulators can for example be used during surgical training.

Are your products compatible with virtual reality software?

Yes, we can propose a synergy between our models and virtual reality software. Do not hesitate to ask us via contact@bone3d.com

What is the price of your simulator?

Send us a request for a quote and we will provide you with a customized offer, completely adapted to your need 🙂

3D printed procedural simulators give the possibility to do multi-exercises on the same model, in order to reduce the cost per procedure performed.

Using a simulator remains a simple and ethical alternative to animal and cadaver.
