Training of Neurosurgery interns
Surgical simulation is THE solution for medical education.
We have supplied NEURO-Train simulators for a neurosurgery course given by Professor Philippe Decq at the Beaujon Hospital (Clichy, France), composed of: an anatomical human skull simulation environment and an articulated arm which gives it great ergonomics and comfort of use, as well as a multi-material cartridge representing the different layers of the human skull (skin, dura mater, cortical and diploe bone), down to the brain.
Participants were able to practice ventricular punctures, intracranial sensor placement and many other neurosurgical procedures. The feedback from the trainees is unanimous: they have a better understanding of performing this procedure on a real patient, thanks to the training on our NEURO-Train simulators.
